Reporting to the Associate Dean, Health, Wellness and Sciences, the incumbent develops and delivers courses in Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant Diploma program in Health, Wellness and Sciences. Courses may be scheduled and delivered during the day or evening at Barrie Campus. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

•    Delivers courses in the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant program 
•    Develops and delivers appropriate curriculum to meet course objectives 
•    Incorporates a variety of teaching / learning strategies to meet student needs
•    Evaluates student progress / achievement
•    Participates in program and college activities as required
•    Participates in program revisions and renewal activities as required
•    Creates and maintains a positive learning environment

QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Successfully completed a Bachelors degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy  
•    Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists 
•    A minimum of five years of experience working as an occupational therapist which could include clinical practice, management, or research experience
•    Certification from a recognized professional organization, such as the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists 
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•    A commitment to life-long learning
•    Computer literacy: Microsoft Office along with a high level of comfort level with learning new software such as student learning management systems and various teaching delivery applications
•    Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in students
•    Experience in some or all of the following is an asset: curriculum development, a variety of delivery strategies, learning methodologies, academic advising and student success strategies
•    Teaching and Training Adults certification and / or experience in a teaching or training capacity is an asset

Acceptable proof of education (degrees, credentials) from recognized post-secondary institutions or confirmation of international equivalencies will be required as part of the selection process.
