Located in Bracebridge, reporting to the Manager, School College Partnerships, the incumbent develops and delivers Electrical Trade Practices (ELEC1013) in the dual credit program.

Course description:
Students explore the various hand tools and power tools that are used for a variety of electrical installations.
Students practice installation procedures and wiring methods for electrical equipment and electrical devices found in residential applications. Electrical installation projects include lighting and receptacle circuits, appliance outlets, smoke detection and carbon monoxide detection devices. All wiring projects are completed in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
•    Developing and delivering appropriate curriculum to meet course objectives.
•    Incorporating a variety of teaching / learning strategies to meet student needs.
•    Evaluating student progress / achievement.
•    Participating in program and college activities as required.
•    Participating in program revision and renewal activities as required.
•    Creating and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Schedule details:
•    Location: Bracebridge, ON (Exact location TBC)
•    October 22, 2026 – December 11, 2026
•    7 weeks (no class Friday November 20, 2026)
•    Fridays, 9:30 am – 4:00 pm

Qualifications:
•    Must have a valid Certificate of Qualification as an Electrician –Construction and Maintenance (309A).
•    Familiarity with industry software, standards, and current work practices.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Commitment to safe work culture, life-long learning, and continuous quality improvement.
•    Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in students.
•    Experience in some or all of the following is an asset: curriculum development, a variety of delivery and evaluation strategies, adult learning methodologies, academic advising, and student success strategies.
•    Teaching and Training Adults certification and / or experience in a teaching or training capacity is an asset.
•    Experience teaching or working with high school aged youth is an asset.

Acceptable proof of education (degrees, credentials) from recognized post-secondary institutions or confirmation of international equivalencies will be required as part of the selection process.
