Reporting to the Associate Dean, the incumbent develops and delivers courses in the Dental Administration program.  Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

•    Delivering courses online in the Dental Administration program
•    Developing and delivering appropriate curriculum to meet course objectives 
•    Incorporating a variety of teaching / learning strategies to meet student needs
•    Evaluating student progress / achievement
•    Participating in program and college activities as required
•    Participating in program revision and renewal activities as required
•    Creating and maintaining a positive learning environment

QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Successfully completed an accredited post-secondary program for dental assisting or dental hygiene program 
•    Must be a Certified Level II Dental Assistant or a registered Dental Hygienist and have current registration with a regulatory or certifying body (e.g. Ontario Dental Assistants Association or the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario) 
•    Five years’ experience within the Dental field with focus on office management
•    Teaching and Training Adults certification preferred
•    Experience in teaching or training capacity
•    Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
•    Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in their students 
•    A commitment to life-long learning
•    Experience in some or all of the following: curriculum development, a variety of delivery strategies, adult learning methodologies, academic advising, and student success strategies
•    Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Suite
•    Experience using dental software (e.g. Dentrix, Dexis, Abledent)
•    Computer literacy with a Learning Management System / Web Delivery Software (i.e. Blackboard) and a Student Information System would be considered an asset
•    Current First Aid and HCP CPR
