Reporting to the Associate Dean, Human Services and Community Safety, the incumbent develops and delivers courses in Social Service Worker program at the Owen Sound campus.  Courses may be scheduled and delivered during the day or evening.  Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

•    Delivering in-person courses in the Social Service Worker program
•    Developing and delivering appropriate curriculum to meet course objectives 
•    Incorporating a variety of teaching / learning strategies to meet student needs
•    Evaluating student progress / achievement
•    Participating in program and college activities as required
•    Participating in program revision and renewal activities as required
•    Creating and maintaining a positive learning environment

Qualifications:

•    An Honours Bachelor degree in Social Work or related discipline (Master’s Degree in Social Work preferred)
•    Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership and management capacity within private and/or public sector organization 
•    Experience managing change and leading innovation
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•    Commitment to life-long learning 
•    Computer literacy: MS Office
•    Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in students
•    Experience in some or all of the following is an asset: curriculum development, a variety of delivery strategies, adult learning methodologies, academic advising, and student success strategies
•    Teaching and Training Adults certification and / or experience in a teaching or training capacity is an asset
•    Ability to effectively integrate new technology into teaching and learning
•    Demonstrated committed to social enterprise and social innovation is an asset
